What are biggest problems with SCM software and solutions?

A lot of companies still think that internal operations problems can be solved by using the right software or systems solutions.
But many IT implementaitons fail due to the fact that internal processes are not in place or well mapped out...

In response to your conversation what can I say but I totally agree, “you hit the nail on the head”. In implementing any IT solution if you don't stop or slow down and correctly map out the whole process from the start to the finish. Upon its implementation it is destined to be riddled with unwanted and unnecessary issues that will not only effect user confidence but also the IT solutions business case in meeting its financial obligations via its buy back and foretasted savings

Hello Susan,

I agree. Problems will always occur when implementing a new system that cannot be anticipated, but it is the responsibility of the manager to insure that he/she finds the solution. At times I wonder if its more effective to increase training with old software rather than implementing new.
